Richard Overy is a british historian who was born in 1947. His many publications about the Second World War and The Third Reich and his vast knowledge have earned him a professorship at King’s College London from 1994 to 2004, when he transferred to Exeter University. His most famous papers are “Russia’s War” (1997) and “The Battle” (2000). In the lecture, he gave the 17th June 2011 in Moscow, in the course of “Ten lectures about the war”, a conference of the “ Deutsches Historisches Institut Moskau”, he talks about the “Operation Barbarossa, Blitz and Bombing”.
